Joyful Moment

lone quiet joy
time stands still
soft cloud descends

I think as one 'matures', joyful times are not fireworks and huzzahs....Joy is often enjoyed in solitude and accompanied by a feeling of peace....

linked to carpe diem; Joyful

  1. I agree. I think there is a world of difference between the temporary excitement of pleasure and the calm, eternal, constant nature of joy. Though we may still only feel it in moments! Enjoy them! That baby elephant is pure joy! :-)

  3. Joy can often be felt from within and expressed outwardly. I like the quiet joy rising in this haiku.

  4. I really like this, and I also found the snow picture joyful--not sure if it belongs with the joy, but it gave me some.

  5. Oh how those clouds descend on the joy of youth...if we let them. Lovely, thank you :)

  6. I do agree. Joy sometimes is just beeing a part of nature. I am not longing for time laying on the beach but someone else is, that elephant really shows joy. :)
