Willow

the weeping willow
bowed in worship river-side
the gods are pleased

the gods are pleased
then why do you weep so
 these are tears of joy

Peasant Paddy

Quick Note:
I know that we write haiku here to express ourselves, but also for others to read and comment/critique....I have learned so much from this exercise....However, I have been disappointed as of late, here on Carpe Diem, when I read and comment on over 20 wonderful posts, and receive 2-3 comments on mine....I read every link and try to send an honest and supportive message back...Don't you?

Viva La Aroma

Fragrances can be associated
 with such pleasant memories:

early morning coffee scent
means hubby is up and cooking;

jasmine reminds me of my first visit
 with my sister in Santa Barbara;

lilacs mean spring and family
we always brought them in the house;

and the salt sea air means home...

I believe fragrances are wonderful -
odors not so much.....

And now for the weather report...

Equal Time

This morning marked the Spring equinox, but, as we had snow yesterday, and more coming tomorrow, Spring still feels far away. We did, however, change our clocks to EST recently, creating more light during the later part of the day. This haiku will have to come from memory of warmer times.
